The Friends of Alta mission is to protect the environment of Alta, including watershed and wildlife habitat areas; to preserve Alta's unique character and heritage; and to encourage stewardship and sustainability of Alta's environment and community.

ACE is Alta's Arts Council, a 501(c)(3) non-profit that creates opportunities in the community for individual and group participation in the arts. Some of the diverse events hosted by ACE include music acts, films, Life & Times Series and Snowflake and Wildflower Festivals.
